Handling of Sexual Harassment Complaints by Faculty and Staff

In accordance with the "Anti-Sexual Harassment Measures, Complaint and Disciplinary Procedures of Chung Yuan Christian University of Film and Technology," the university has established a Gender Equality Committee to handle and investigate sexual harassment complaints involving faculty and staff.

Complaint Channels for Faculty and Staff Regarding Sexual Harassment:

Faculty and staff who encounter sexual harassment in the workplace may file a complaint with the Director of the Human Resources Office.

Procedures for Filing a Sexual Harassment Complaint:

  1. Written Complaint:
    The complaint must be signed and stamped by the complainant and should include the following information:
    • Complainant’s full name, gender, date of birth, National ID number, service unit, job title, residential address, contact number, and the date of the complaint.
    • If the complainant has a legal guardian or appointed representative, a power of attorney should be provided, listing the complainant’s and representative’s full name, gender, date of birth, National ID number, residential address, contact number, and the date of the complaint.
    • A detailed description of the alleged harassment and the specific events.
    • Any available evidence or witnesses related to the case.
  2. Oral Complaint:
    The complainant may also file an oral complaint, in which case, the receiving staff member will record the details of the complaint. The complainant will be asked to review and confirm the accuracy of the record, which must then be signed or stamped by the complainant.

If the complaint form or oral record does not meet the required conditions and the issue can be corrected, the complainant will be notified and given 7 days to make the necessary corrections. Failure to correct the issue within the given timeframe may result in the complaint not being processed.
